Forgiveness by the Godfather

What a great day......I got to sit back and just enjoy a movie with just me and Micah. We watched the Godfather 2. I guess it is not the most kid friendly movie but I don't think Micah minded much since he was kicking back chewing on the DVD case. Well there was a great scene in the film where Michael who is the Family Boss finds out that His brother Fredo has turned on him. He is in Havana Cuba where he takes his older brother by the face and kisses him on the lips and tells him "I know it was you, you broke my heart". This moment was a scene of forgiveness because he loved Fredo and he was family. Of coarse this is after he has killed Mr. Roth and Frankie an old friend and, yes he does kill his brother at the end of the movie. (I personally think it was due to the crazy fishing hat and Italian suit combo that Fredo wore for the last 15 minutes of the film.
Well Michael taught me 2 things: 1) don't ever mess with Michael Vito Corleone. 2) The importance of forgiveness in families. I remember when I was picking my best man in my wedding and I asked Pastor Bo what should I do.....He said to me friends will come and go but family is forever. I took his advice and was thankful that I did. I know that we can not truly understand forgiveness until we learn to forgive. This is when we understand at least a bit of the tremendous act of love that was given to us by the life of Christ. It was forgiveness to the hundredth degree. He came as a human child and grew up in the run down village, he went through all that we go through from poverty to being falsely accused unto death. But at the end he made it clear that He does not condemn us. Wow what a great act of forgiveness that we will never fully understand

Hate it or Love it.........Solomon

The book of Proverbs: I read through the book of Proverbs to learn wisdom from the wises man that has ever lived even though according to the word of God I feel that he was a complete moron. I guess the truth is we all have our ups and downs especially if it is about the ladies. I will say this and I will say it again.......love is blind and sometimes deadly. It can take you to the deepest and richest places on earth but also for many it take us to the pits of hades. Solomon was the wisest man but he was addicted to sex and wanting a lot of it from a lot of different women. But I guess during that time it was good to be the king though it was the very reason that his kingdom fell apart and also the reason his kids were a mess. I don't think they got to spend a lot of one on one time with Dad and his hundreds of kids and wives.
So back to the first question why am I trying to learn wisdom from Proverbs a book of Solomon a butt head? I guess he had his good moments like the rest of us and Proverbs was his masterpiece. You got to role with the punches.

Jesus is a X-Men

Today I was reading through the Book of Matthew and I got stuck on chapter 21 verse 18 to 22. This is a strange story and I never really think I got the meaning of it til today. So early in the morning Jesus was walking to the city and he was hungry. He saw a fig tree.....so He went up to it so that He could get some grub. Man He was looking forward to eating some figs this great morning. But when he went up to this fig tree there was not fruit just leaves. So guess what he does.......? He curses the tree and then it dies on the spot. Its dead and withered....like weeds in my back yard on a cold winters day. So now the disciples are astonished at what just happened. I mean this guy has the power to speak over something and POW. So they ask Him, what is your secret? How in the world do you do that? Jesus crouches down, brings them in close and with a still quiet voice says, "faith." If I was there, I would say, "Come again". What do you mean faith...I understand faith, but what in the world is that? He would respond by saying"true faith". If you have faith and not doubt you can do anything. You can possess the power to change your situation, the atmosphere, and anything in your environment. You have a say so in all that goes on in your life. You have the authority of God Himself yet don't know it.See Jesus did not believe in limits. He did not believe in any boundaries. To Him there are no such things. If he want to fly like a bird, or swim like a dolphin, He could do it. If he wanted to transform into a angelic being, He could do it. If he wanted to raise from the dead he could do it. He was not limited by gravity or the laws of physics or mathematics. Two fish plus five loaves of bread equals five thousand. He could ride dinosaurs, dance on a Jupiter and make fire come from his hands if he wanted to. See He is a super hero, like Superman, or a class 5 X-Men, and Peter from Heroes, all put together. Of coarse He would have no weaknesses. See this characters do not have to think and hope in the supernatural. It's just what is normal to them because they are supernatural. All things are possible, and nothings impossible. Jesus had no limits, no boundaries and this is the just how he was. And what he was wanting to show us is that we in Him are supernatural was that we too have no limits or boundaries if we only would believe and realize the authority within us. Today God desires for His people to live it that same mindset and realm that He lives in. A realm of infinite possibilities. Now this is the Kingdom of God now.
