Where is your Heart?

What a great morning. I got to wake up bright and early (3 am) so that I could take my family to Denver International Airport which seems like it really is in the middle of Wyoming (thank you for the input Derek). Man now I am free like a bird, I was blind but now I see...no kids and no dictator around the house to tell me what to do, where to place my dishes. But all of those thoughts ended when I woke up this morning to a quiet house. The love of my life was gone, the voices of my children missing and I felt lost. I started to missing them right from the moment I woke up. When my wife called around 7:30am I ran to get the phone just to hear them because they are my treasures in life. In the book of Matthew Chapter 6 verse 21 it says “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” What I statement for me today. Because when I woke up I felt like a piece of my heart was missing. Many people in our world place their worth and their hearts in things that will eventually damage them. Young girls so willing to give themselves away do to the lack of love she finds for herself. Maybe it was a lack of a father or a lack of self worth and value. Fathers trying to earn their strips by climbing the corporate ladder...passing up their families for their business. Then he finds at the end that all that he worked amounts to nothing when he has no one to enjoy it with. So where is your treasure today? There you will find your heart, your goals, your worth, and your value.

I is Stupid

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. I mean this is the truth about my life. I mean who likes discipline?I think no one, especially in this world that we live today where you can see the lack of discipline by looking in peoples messy cars, trashed out homes. Try watching the children in the mall screaming and hitting their parents and teenagers, might I say more. I am not saying that I personally am safe from my own criticism but our culture teaches self esteem but not self discipline.
According to the verse in Proverbs 12:1 if you look at your life and are open for comments and changes, I believe there will be much growth and deep know how will come. But if you think you got it together and your have been gifted with wisdom...go for it. I'll see you at the bottom. Really guys, don't take your self so seriously. People are too easily offended.....get over yourself. If you don't want to be corrected then fine.....but it is better to learn this lesson up front and save yourself from much pain. Making stupid mistakes is okay but don't stay stupid.

Welcome to My World

Today is a great day. I started out in prayer and Bible reading. I read the rest of the book of first John and also a couple of chapters in the book of proverbs. In the book of first John there is a strong statement......It says" if anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen cannot love God, whom he has not seen". When it is talking about brother it is talking about mankind as a whole. If we do not love makind, and care for the needs of man, how can we love God who is unseen, many times unknown. If we are not in love or have ablity to give compassion to our brothers how can we understand God's love and compassion for us except in a selfish way. The way to know God more and His love more is to do what He did and give our love more.

Then I got on Twitter to make sure I am up to date on things going on around me. Checked my email and rented a car from Thrifty and wrote a blog. This was all done between 6:30 to 8:13am

Please use your inside scream

What lies beneath? There are many masks that we wear especially in the CHURCH world. To those who grew up in church they know what I mean. We are pressured to act, dress, speak, and clap a certain way. But this is not just the church but the society as a whole. We are thought in the theater school of life to put on a show. In the world that we live, we are trained to showcase a false sense on security, happiness and self. We almost lose ourselves in playing this game for so long. We long for a meaningful relationship were we can be ourselves and have our guard down, but the truth is most people do not have it and that is why they feel so alone. We can be in a crowded room yet feel like we are the only one there. I don't know if you ever felt this way......maybe it is just me. See, what ever happen to the authentic, to be the person that you know on the inside. I mean the raw humanity, who struggle in thier lives, The people who don't have it together, the ones who question tradition and what people consider sacred. See I am speaking in generalities because each of us are different and come from different back grounds. But all of us know what it feels to be alone. According to Gallup Polls, Americans are among the most loneliest people in the world. Wow we have electricity and fresh clean water, crowed cites and busy schedules yet in the chaos of it all, we feel like SCREAMING just to feel alive. Mother Teresa once said "Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty". She has seen the horrific lives of the lepers of Bombay yet she feels that there is even a greater tragedy that is taking place all around the world. I hope that we who have hope give hope, and we how have love give love. Only we can cure this plague that is rampant in our world today. Stand up and scream back through the life that you live.
