SIN

Understanding the consequence of Sin. The word is CONSEQUENCE means -The effect, result, or outcome of something occurring earlier. Personal example: I love to eat McDonald's Hot and Spicy McChicken sandwiches. They are only one dollar and it is right up the street. I looked up the nutritional guide and saw this sandwich contains: 26 grams of fat 40% of your daily intake. I had 2 of them right before the Wednesday thrive service This means, I ate 80% of my daily fat content in one sitting. The Consequence of this is the: Specimen of a Man you see before you. There is a cause and effect in everything we do in life. Each smile we give those who pass by, a kiss as you leave for work in the morning. When I wash the dishes or compliment my wife, an act of kindness. In our world you might hear the word karma: People say I have bad karma or that causes bad Karma. And I believe in Karma in the way of Sowing and Reaping. Galatians 6:7 says: Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. So if you are sowing love you will receive love. If you sow negative thoughts, you reap a negative outlook, which turns into a negative future. Sow anger, you receive rage, hate, destruction. If you Sow persistence, you reap the reward of your work. If you sow sin, and disobedience….you will reap DEATH. According to the word of God in Romans 6:23 it is written "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". So SIN equals death or the finished product of sin is death In the Greek the word sin is the word Harmartia which means to miss the mark, to wander from the path. In other words disobedience. The bible talks about sin in the New Testament over 174 times. I would say that if someone tells me something 174 time, I would think that would be something that is important and to pay attention to. I pray that we pay attention to the little things in our lives that will lead us in the future to miss the mark. I pray we are like David in Psalms 139:23 where he says: Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.24See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. I pray that this is our prayer, that we can be lead in the way that is eternal…a way of God.
